Job Summary

Position Summary: The Manager, Academic Data & Support is responsible for submitting and updating program data to meet RYH, state and federal requirements, such as training, enrollment, student assessment, instructional support, and parental communication. The position is funded through the United Way of Greater Nashville Tutoring Collaborative and Raise Your Hand.  Our program model provides high-dosage, low-ratio tutoring to Tennessee students in Math and English Language Arts (ELA) to remediate learning loss by providing grade-level instructional support for students in grades 1-8.

Job Responsibilities

Some evening work and travel to program sites are required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Offer guidance and support for Data & Curriculum Managers.
  2. Monitor student enrollment to meet state requirements and program goals.
  3. Oversee the student data collection and performance process for tutoring programs across multi county footprint.
  4. Collaborate with the Data & Curriculum Managers & Coordinators to submit timely data reporting and attendance records.
  5. Collect and analyze and prepare student data reports prior to uploading on TDOE portal.
  6. Compile reports and ensure all tutors have completed the training modules.
  7. Distribute monthly family surveys for feedback by the state among partners.
  8. Conduct periodic site visits to monitor the fidelity of tutoring programs and activities.
  9. Investigate concerns regarding tutoring services, scheduling, student performance and program procedures.
  10. Ensure partners use and can access a state research-based curriculum including the ZEARN platform for tutoring. Assist with curriculum training when applicable.
  11. Participate in school/program/community meetings and family engagement activities.
  12. Assist the Senior Manager with deliverables and other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Education, Public or Business Administration, information science, computer science or related field.
  • Two years or more experience analyzing student assessments and performance data.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, to explain to users how the database works and to keep clear records of changes you have made.
  • Ability to prepare clear, concise, and accurate reports, correspondence and train others.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Learning Management Systems (such as Canvas), ZOOM and teleconference technology.
