Job Summary
Responsible for the delivery and quality of nursing services provided at Mending Hearts, Inc. Detox Program in coordination with the nursing and clinical counseling staff.
Job Responsibilities
Oversee intake and admission to the program. Provide leadership in the care and withdrawal stabilization of clients to the program. Effectively works with other nursing staff and clinical counseling team to provide excellent client care. Works with Medical Provider during weekly rounds and consults by phone when needed. Demonstrate high professional and ethical standards, and have a therapeutic approach of being empathetic, respectful, and motivational. Maintain client confidentiality and high ethical and professional standards.
Qualifications
Minimum Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with current State of Tennessee licensure. Knowledge of substance abuse and co-occurring disorders (COD). Ability to work independently under medical protocol. Knowledge of medical services provision, with a preference in emergency department experience. Ability and experience in supervising, training, motivating, and evaluating other licensed staff. Maturity and professionalism, with a sincere desire to work with recovering individuals. Basic computer skills in word processing, e-mail, and internet use. Access to transportation.
