Job Summary
Do you enjoy learning history and want to share your knowledge with others? If so, then we want to speak to you! Belmont Mansion is looking to fill two positions for part-time Lead Historical Interpreters (up to 35 hours per week). Lead Interpreters help maintain the public face of the museum by providing an accurate and engaging interpretation of the Mansion to visitors and managing our interpretive staff.
Job Responsibilities
The duties of the Lead Historical Interpreter include guest relations; making sure all interpretive stations and the museum shop are properly staffed; assisting with training interpreters; opening and closing cash registers; and occasionally working special evening events.
Qualifications
Ideal applicants should have strong public speaking, management, and interpersonal skills; experience in customer service; the ability to remain positive, respectful, and flexible in a fast-paced environment; ability to lift at least 20 lbs. unassisted; and the ability to climb stairs and stand for long periods of time.
