Job Summary
The Juvenile IOP Group Facilitator is responsible for facilitating group therapy/psychoeducational classes to clients. The Juvenile IOP Group Facilitator reports to the Clinical Director. This position would be based in Hickman County, TN.
Job Responsibilities
- Facilitate group counseling/therapy sessions and psychoeducational classes.
- Compose individualized group notes for each client and document in an electronic medical record.
- Complete all required documentation for intake and also follow up correspondence to Probation Officers YSO’s etc.
- Provide resource linkage when needed.
- Maintains an active caseload and operates within scope of practice of credentials.
- Evaluates open cases with treatment team to provide proper crisis management.
- Possess a proficient knowledge base and understanding of alcohol/drug abuse and addiction. Additionally, engage in continuing education on current alcohol/drug abuse trends and treatment information.
- Provide intake/readmission services.
- Provide crisis intervention/supportive services to clients as needed.
- Able to refer to clients to a higher level of care as needed.
- Assist in prioritizing problems and needs of clients, and able to explain programs/services.
- Prepares or completes various forms, reports, correspondence, case documentation, and other documents as needed and within scope of practice.
- Communicates with Executive Director, Clinical Director, colleagues, community agencies, and court personnel as needed to coordinate work activities.
- Able to develop professional, helpful and effective relationships with clients. • Operates a computer, telephone system and fax machine to enter data, send documentation etc…
- Must work hours as scheduled with some evening availability.
- Attend conferences, meetings and training programs as needed/directed.
- Maintains confidentiality and a high ethical conduct regarding all client information in accordance with 42 CFR, Section 2 HIPAA Confidentiality Regulations.

Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in the behavioral health field, social work, counseling, psychology. This experience may be accompanied by work experience in the behavioral health field, as well as the criminal justice system.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Advanced knowledge and skills in care management for clients in substance abuse treatment facilities or involved in the criminal justice system. Maturity and leadership qualities.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of three (3) years within a behavioral health clinic, working knowledge of outpatient treatment within a recovery environment. CPRS, LADAC I and LADAC II licenses are acceptable for this position.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: A Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or a Licensed Master Level Social Worker (LMSW) with a minimum of three (3) years working within the behavioral health field interacting with the criminal justice system.
