Job Summary

The Fundraising Committee Chair is a key leader on the NTCC Board of Directors, responsible for overseeing and driving the organization’s fundraising initiatives. This individual will be supported by an outside fundraising consultant to develop and implement strategic fundraising plans that support NTCC’s mission to promote, preserve, protect, and plant the tree canopy in Davidson County.

Job Responsibilities

1. Fundraising Strategy and Planning
•    Work with the outside fundraising consultant to develop annual fundraising strategies aligned with NTCC’s goals.
•    Oversee the execution of fundraising initiatives, including donor campaigns, board engagement, corporate sponsorships, and grant applications.
•    Present fundraising updates and progress reports to the board.
•    Identify and pursue new fundraising opportunities to diversify revenue streams.
2. Donor Engagement and Stewardship
•    Collaborate with the fundraising consultant to create donor engagement plans, ensuring donor retention and growth.
•    Develop relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, and grant-making organizations.
•    Oversee donor recognition programs and ensure timely acknowledgments.
3. Event Coordination
•    Work with the fundraising consultant and event planning team to oversee the planning and execution of fundraising events.
•    Ensure event goals align with NTCC’s mission and financial objectives.
•    Engage board members and volunteers to support fundraising events and campaigns.
4. Committee Leadership and Collaboration
•    Lead the fundraising committee, facilitating regular meetings and coordinating efforts with the fundraising consultant.
•    Provide direction and support to committee members in their fundraising efforts.
•    Work closely with the Treasurer to ensure fundraising activities align with budget goals.
5. Grant Development and Oversight
•    Collaborate with the fundraising consultant to identify and apply for grants that align with NTCC’s mission.
•    Ensure grant compliance and reporting requirements are met.
•    Monitor grant funding progress and provide updates to the board.
6. Board and Community Engagement
•    Engage board members in fundraising efforts and provide them with the necessary tools and training.
•    Represent NTCC at community events and networking opportunities to promote fundraising efforts.
•    Advocate for NTCC’s mission to potential donors and stakeholders.

Qualifications

•    Experience in fundraising, nonprofit development, or related fields.
•    Strong leadership and organizational skills.
•    Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
•    Ability to work collaboratively with board members, volunteers, and consultants.
•    Commitment to NTCC’s mission and values.
