Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Grant Writer to join our team on a freelance, as-needed basis. The Grant Writer will play a crucial role in securing funding for our programs and initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of successful grant applications and a deep understanding of the non-profit sector, particularly in areas related to women’s support services.

Job Responsibilities

• Research potential grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, corporations, and other funding sources.
• Develop and write compelling grant proposals, including letters of intent, project narratives, budgets, and supporting documents.
• Ensure that all grant applications are submitted on time and meet the specific requirements of each funder.
• Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary information and data to support grant proposals.
• Stay informed about current trends and best practices in grant writing and the non-profit sector.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in grant writing with a successful track record of securing funding.
• Excellent research, writing, and editing skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with the non-profit sector, especially in areas related to women’s support services, is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
