Summary:
This position is responsible for supervising the accounting department staff, ensuring transparency and accuracy in reporting, meeting deadlines, monitoring and improving (streamlining) processes within the department and creating efficiencies to improve effectiveness where opportunity is found. This position is expected to know and follow GAAP and company policies. This position will keep the CFO informed of all discoveries that may have a financial impact on the company.
Job Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Manage the accounting/payroll processes to ensure accuracy. Review and sign off on monthly reconciliations for critical ledger accounts, review accounting process details, create or modify processes to avoid or correct errors. Create verification tools to ensure accuracy. Maximize revenue and cash flow.
Prepare monthly forecasts & the annual budget. Constantly monitor company results to ensure financial stability.
Update schedules used for FQHC reporting and those used for annual audits.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. CPA preferred.
Experience: Five plus years of progressive accounting experience required. Healthcare setting or non-profit preferred. Advanced excel knowledge required.
