Job Summary

Job Responsibilities

Complete all training requirements set forth by the Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities for Family Support Staff including annual trainings

Answer phone and e-mail inquiries about Family Support

Identify eligible families and with their participation, determine their needs and preferences for services and develop a written plan for the delivery and payment for services

Maintain a spreadsheet of contacts of those who have inquired about Family Support, requested an application, waiting list, etc.

Review invoices within 7 days of receipt for completeness and reimburse by direct deposit or check

Maintain Family Support Quickbooks account and the Family Support Reimbursement Spreadsheet and submit monthly for payment

Maintain all records per DIDD contract

Maintain local Family Support Council which meets quarterly and attend Family Support Coordinator, Regional and State meetings as needed

Provide on-going outreach in the community

Publish The Arc Advocate Newsletter monthly including information about Family Support

Maintain Facebook, Twitter and Instagram Accounts for the agency

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in one of the   human services fields; or a bachelor’s degree in a non-related field plus one year of relevant experience in the disability field; or an associate degree plus two years of relevant experience in the disability field; or four years of relevant experience in the disability field

Knowledge of the community and familiar with resources available

Knowledge of QuickBooks, Microsoft Office

Have a valid driver’s license and automobile liability insurance

Resident of Williamson County preferred

Bilingual (English-Spanish) a HUGE plus
