Job Summary

The Tennessee Hemophilia & Bleeding Disorders Foundation (THBDF) seeks a progressive, energetic, mission-focused Executive Director to lead the organization.  Located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, the THBDF is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of those affected by bleeding disorders and serves the state of Tennessee.  Chartered in 1970, the local chapter is a member of the Hemophilia Federation of America (HFA). 

Job Responsibilities

Prime candidates will have demonstrated the ability to work independently and will have one part-time assistant.  The Executive Director’s responsibilities include working directly with vendors and community members; implementing fundraising strategies and programs, building and sustaining community relationships/partnerships, grant writing experience a plus, overseeing operations including program delivery, communicating effectively and timely, to work with the Board of Directors to achieve the organization’s mission and vision and to accomplish goals and objectives set by the Board.  Will need the ability to work after hours and weekends with experience working events from start to finish and travel required.  Managing multiple committees, a plus.  The ability to be creative, organized, multi-task, and diplomatic is key. 

Qualifications

Qualifications include Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university, 3- 5 years in a management or supervisory position, and proficiency in MS Office tools.  Contact management and donor database experience are a plus.
