Job Summary
Our Mission
The mission and purpose of Davis House is to combat child abuse by coordinating services to children and families in crisis and providing community education focused on prevention and early intervention. Our services are provided at no charge to children and families. We maintain three offices (Franklin, Hohenwald, and Centerville) and serve four counties (Williamson, Lewis, Hickman, and Perry) in middle Tennessee.
The Position
The Executive Assistant will report to the Executive Director and will assist him/her in a variety of tasks, aimed at streamlining office functions and increasing the capacity of the Executive Director toward achieving overall organizational goals. This position will work primarily out of the Franklin office location.
Job Responsibilities
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- General office management and support
- Scheduling for ED, Board of Directors, and physical office spaces
- Reconciliation of bank statements
- Organizing and maintaining financial records
- Receiving and recording gifts
- Maintaining CRM donor database
- Issuing financial and donor reports
- Receipting gifts
- Fundraising event assistance
- Assistance with grant reporting as needed
- Maintaining records of the Board of Directors
- Other duties as assigned

Competencies and Requirements
Davis House Child Advocacy Center is a highly sensitive environment. The Executive Assistant must have a caring, compassionate spirit, not prone to gossip or judgment, and the ability to hold information in a confidential manner. S/he must also be able to manage a variety of personalities and needs, sometimes simultaneously, from families in crisis, to law enforcement, to the public-at-large.
The Executive Assistant should hold a bachelor’s degree and have experience in a high-volume work environment. Prior experience working with confidential information and/or with children and families is important. Basic accounting acumen is vital. Strong organizational skills and comfortable relational abilities also matter.
The successful applicant must have reliable transportation to and from work and must be able to pass a deep background check, fashioned to exclude predatory criminal actors.

Compensation
The salary for the Executive Assistant is $15/hour.
Benefits will include dental and vision insurance, as well as an option to purchase medical insurance.
