Job Summary

The Event Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Board of Directors Development Co-Chairman with administrative support and planning a first annual fundraiser in the Fall. This person must be proactive, organized, and able to coordinate many projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. This position will be working both remotely and in office. Attendance required at select NAHT ministry events on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. This is a temporary position until the end of 2021 with a possibility for full-time hire

Job Responsibilities

  • Administrative support
  • Planning a first annual fundraiser for the Fall of 2021
  • Handling many projects simultaneously
  • Making deliveries and running errands
  • Meeting with vendors and donors


  • 2+ years previous experience in an event planning role
  • Ability to travel around Nashville for deliveries and running errands
  • Attend meetings with vendors/donors
  • Be adaptable and adjust to changing project scopes and timelines
  • Ability to handle a variety of responsibilities by taking initiative or as a self-starter
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; able to interact with vendors, colleagues, and donors of all demographics and professional levels
  • Experience with the use of software including Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Dropbox, and data base management systems
  • Critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills, and keen attention to detail
  • Professional demeanor with a high energy level, strong work ethic, punctuality, and prompt in responding to messages
  • Fast learner, capacity for hard work, positive and uplifting disposition, and a team player
