Job Summary

At Thistle Farms, the Email Marketing Manager plays a critical role in supporting our digital communication efforts by coordinating and executing email marketing campaigns to support various initiatives, including e-commerce sales, donor engagement, and program support.

Reporting directly to the Marketing Director, this position will work closely with the Content Manager and Creative Services Manager to strategize, create, send, and evaluate email marketing campaigns and automation. The Email Marketing Manager will be instrumental in Thistle Farms’ overall marketing strategy, particularly as we implement new promotions, increase online fundraising campaigns, and expand our digital footprint. Thistle Farms is located in Nashville, TN. This will be a hybrid position.

Job Responsibilities

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Email Campaign Coordination: Coordinate the scheduling, segmentation, and deployment of email marketing campaigns. Ensure timely and accurate execution of campaigns across various initiatives, including e-commerce sales, donor engagement, and program support.
  • Email Build: Coordinate and identify appropriate email templates per campaign, integrate campaign content appropriate for email, and identify design needs for effective email campaign execution.
  • Design Coordination Support: Coordinate with the Creative Services Manager to initiate design requests for any outstanding email design needs identified during campaign planning.
  • Template Management: Document and catalog email templates and designs to ensure continuity and efficiency across all email communications.
  • Routing and Testing: Manage the routing process for email campaigns, ensuring accurate segmentation and targeting based on audience characteristics and campaign objectives. Conduct thorough testing of email content, design, and functionality across various devices and email clients to optimize deliverability and user experience.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of email marketing and fundraising campaigns, providing regular reports and insights to the marketing team. Collaborate with the Ecommerce & Website Specialist and Development Team to analyze results and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders across
  • Development, Communications, and other departments to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of email marketing initiatives with broader organizational goals.
  • Integration with Web and Ecommerce Manager: Partner with the Web and Ecommerce Manager to ensure seamless integration between email marketing campaigns and website initiatives, optimizing user experience and conversion paths across digital touchpoints.
  • Dynamic Content Implementation: Implement dynamic content strategies to personalize email campaigns based on recipient preferences, behavior, and past interactions with Thistle Farms, enhancing relevance and driving higher engagement.
  • A/B Testing Coordination: Coordinate A/B testing initiatives to optimize email performance metrics, including open rates, click-through rates, and conversion rates.
  • Cross-Channel Campaign Alignment: Work with the marketing team to ensure alignment of email marketing campaigns with broader cross-channel marketing initiatives based on approved Marketing Framework, including social media, paid advertising, and content marketing efforts, to maximize reach and impact across multiple touchpoints.
  • Operational Support: Provide operational support for special projects related to email marketing and online fundraising.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of experience in email marketing required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communication or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience with Shopify email and/or Luminate, as well as Raiser’s Edge & Monday project management. Additional experience with other digital marketing is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Entrepreneurial attitude and willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments.
  • Passionate about the mission of Thistle Farms and committed to supporting women survivors.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work on a computer for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to sit at a desk for prolonged periods.
  • Must be able to lift 15 lbs.
