Job Summary

This position is a part time 20-hour work week excluding benefits with potential to become full time. Position will require local travel. Some evening and weekend work is required. Nice office environment in Ashland City.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work with Coalition Director and partners to implement strategies to meet set objectives.
  • Provide coordination of all program activities.
  • Attend required grantee trainings and meetings.
  • Plan and implement special events.
  • Prepare and effectively deliver Core Drug Endangered Children Awareness high-quality, cross-disciplinary stakeholder trainings to DEC Response team members, criminal justice professionals, treatment providers, community service providers, state and local government personnel and other interested stakeholders.
  • Track program efforts to ensure project goals, objectives and activities are being successfully completed. Prepare and submit any required progress reports.
  • Develop community outreach materials to highlight the program.
  • Work jointly with other Drug Endangered Children Response Teams to develop model Drug Endangered Children Response Policies, Procedures and Protocols.
  • Assist Drug Endangered Children Response Teams with the development of a tracking system in order to measure outcomes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Education, Law Enforcement, social work, human services, or related field. Relevant leadership experience in an agency providing social services in a community setting could be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Availability to travel within county with some overnight/statewide travel.
  • Excellent technology / computer skills, including Microsoft office.
  • Experience in group facilitation, public speaking and creating and delivering presentations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to work independently.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of coalitions and population-level behavior change strategies.
  • Experience with evidence-informed practices, and/or community engagement preferred
  • Experience working with youth and families (ex. Social work, family resource center etc.)
