Job Summary

Manages donor communication programming in conjunction with Corporate Marketing. Creates and implements enterprise-wide communication programs to consistently steward and encourage donor investments. Creates relevant communication, recognition and engagement opportunities to increase philanthropic support and community engagement with Centerstone, while elevating Centerstone’s philanthropic brand. Serves as lead for Centerstone’s annual direct mail and employee giving campaigns, and their results.

Supports the Centerstone Mission, Vision and Values in delivering care that changes people’s lives. Job Responsibilities

  1. Creates annual plan for donor communication in order to coordinate regional and national efforts while implementing best practices in the areas of: donor acquisition, donor cultivation, donor stewardship and support in positioning Centerstone as a cause-driven organization worthy of investment.
  1. Plans, manages and completes design, development and copy writing for all foundation communication (regular and on-going materials). Collaborates with corporate marketing to ensure proper branding, design and publishing. Handles mail solicitations and campaign schedules.
  1. Works collaboratively with Corporate Marketing for website and digital marketing content development and maintenance. Manages donor story content, community relation stories and cause-driven efforts. Updates existing pages and creates new, ensuring clean and easy to follow, effective website/digital communication.
  1. Manages employee giving campaigns. Leads internal stewardship campaign and strategy development.
  1. Coordinates and facilitates communication with and between executive team, board members and donors. Leverage available resources and expertise to support Foundation goals.
  1. Manage ongoing foundation projects and initiatives to support overall strategic goals. Collaborates with internal and external resources to ensure effective campaign development.
  1. Provides metrics and reports on donor activity, strengths, areas for improvement and future goals. Reviews communication channel results and strengths; makes recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills to include written, verbal, in person and virtual methods.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and Powerpoint. Experience with CRM solutions or donor constituency management software such as Salesforce or Raiser’s Edge required.
  • Analytical skills to quickly and accurately evaluate fundraising campaign effectiveness and make appropriate adjustments or recommendations
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with strong attention to detail in a deadline focused environment
  • Ability to evaluate problems accurately and exercise appropriate judgment and discretion when dealing with donors, employees, board members, and volunteers; ability to work and solve problems both independently and in a team environment to move projects from inception to completion
  • Enthusiastic, action-oriented approach with strong work ethic; fantastic customer service ethic with high expectations for quality

Minimum Education Level

Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business or related field.

Minimum Years of Experience

Three-five years of experience to have included content development, written and visual communication development and project management in non-profit fundraising. Evidence of successful communication material development required. (Portfolio to be provided at time of interview)
