Job Summary

Responsible for overseeing all organizational aspects of Justice Industries, including supervising team managers, coordinating the different industries to ensure they can operate efficiently and productively, working with community partners to maintain an ongoing employee pipeline, and supporting and encouraging our team members through Employee Development initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Hiring and training staff.
    • Serve as liaison with Justice Industries community and social service partners to ensure a robust employee pipeline. Maintain current partnerships and develop new ones.
    • Ensure all paperwork has been thoroughly completed and directed to appropriate staff for the employee onboarding process, such as financial forms, background checks, driver clearance with insurance, etc.
    • Ensure proper onboarding for new hires including completing an orientation process, review of daily tasks and Employee Handbook.
    • Maintain employee files for milestone evaluations:  3 month, 6 months, one year, etc.
    • Assist in annual reviews for team members in partnership with direct supervisors.
    • Coordinate technology needs with new hires in partnership with their Team Managers and Team Trainer.
  • Oversee daily operations
    • Work with Team Managers to ensure all required shifts are covered and teams have necessary resources to complete their work.
    • Work with Team Managers to ensure all logistics are covered for each industry, Just.Clean, Just.Glass, Just.Mattress and Just.Wash.
    • Maintain vehicle records for JI Fleet, including scheduled maintenance, annual registration, and required repairs.
    • Manage the general customer service email and JI voicemail to direct tasks to appropriate staff member.
  • Employee Development
    • Develop and implement policies that ensure positive interaction with staff.
    • Plan monthly employee meetings working with Executive Director and Team Mangers to set the agenda, plan/execute the details, and communicate the details to team members.
    • Work with the Employee Development Board Committee and the Executive Director plan and implement a new “Employee Enrichment” program, offering teambuilding and continuing education on topics that are relevant and useful to our team.
    • Work with the Employee Development Board Committee and the Executive Director to launch a Mentor Program for team members.
      • Match mentors with team members based on knowledge, needs and personality.
      • Coordinate and facilitate as needed the mentor meetings.
      • Thank, acknowledge, and appropriately reward volunteers and team members for their participation.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Desired Qualities:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required with at least three years of experience working with disadvantaged communities in a nonprofit setting.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.  Must be able to communicate and build relationships within the community as well as clearly articulate to volunteers and employees what is expected of them.
  • Prove track record in managing people with varying backgrounds and experiences.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects at once.
  • High level of self-motivation; willing and able to start something new and/or think of new solutions.
  • Proven track record of managing people.
  • Strong commitment to the vision, mission, and purpose of Justice Industries.
  • Proficient use of MS Office Suite, QB Time, and Google Suite.
