Job Summary
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director of Operations is a management position that is responsible for overseeing effective operating procedures in the warehouse. The Director of Operations reports to the Chief Operating Officer. This is a full time position
Job Responsibilities
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Define, implement and revise warehouse practices and protocols to achieve an efficient warehouse
- Oversee the volunteer experience in the warehouse
- Manage procurement and allocation of food resources
- Oversee community food distributions
- Manage warehouse drivers
- Audit and report inventory while making recommendation on which items to order and restock
- Ensure safe use of warehouse equipment
- Set warehouse goals in collaboration with executive management
- Keep up to date on the latest federal and state safety regulations
- Communicate with other employees to ensure efficient operation of the warehouse
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Operate forklift and pallet jack
- Be flexible and adaptable with daily operations
- Be able to think and react to events quickly and effectively
- Leading volunteer groups.
- Participating at all Food Distributions.
- Logistics for Operations and schedule drivers daily
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
CDL License and Forklift Operator Certified
