Job Responsibilities

What Is This Job All About?

• Develop and oversee the implementation of strategies for managing and delivering high functioning, cost-efficient IT services.
• Maintain excellent communication within all areas of the organization: end users, executive management, and third-party service providers.
• Responsible for Security and HIPAA -Reinforce and build upon Mercy’s established culture of security.
• Participate in strategic decision-making, oversees budget coordination and compliance, coordinates long-range planning activities.
• Responsible for staying updated on cybersecurity and emerging new threats to prevent breaches and to keep data and confidential information safe.
• Support end-users and manage and report on the IT department and data teams.
• Act as an escalation point for end-users and the IT department.
• Manage MSP’s and ensure the organization’s networks, server software, and applications are maintained and in line with the organization’s goals and budget.
• Oversee Electronic Health Record (EHR) updates and assist end users with implementation support (as needed) and assist in testing and reviewing updates.
• Forward thinking in determining future needs, including the structure, integrity, and safety of data.
• Prepare current and accurate educational materials and other supportive documentation for users on an ongoing basis.

Qualifications

What We Need from You:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Information Management, or related field preferred
• Five to ten years of experience in Information Technology working with computer hardware, wireless technology, IT security, SharePoint, and Microsoft Windows software, including Office 365.
• Three years of IT leadership experience directing small and efficient teams.
• Previous vendor management experience including outsourced MSPs.
• Experience with implementing and supporting Electronic Health Records systems.
• Must possess and exercise diplomacy and kindness in all interactions.
• Must possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to explain technical details to non-technical users.
• Proficient with OnPrem and Cloud hosted environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Athena Health Preferred
• HIPAA Certification preferred
