Job Summary

JOB SUMMARY:

To direct and oversee all the financial activities of Governor’s Early Literacy Foundation, including the preparation of current financial reports, summaries, and forecasts for future foundation growth and impact.

ABOUT THIS POSITION

Governor’s Early Literacy Foundation has historically had the role of Vice President to fulfill both the COO and CFO functions and responsibilities. In 2019, the foundation experienced a steep growth trajectory and recognized the need to have these roles filled independently. Our foundation is seeking to bring on a director-level role responsible for the oversight of the foundation’s financial position. This individual will work directly with our Executive Team and outsourced financial services firm to ensure the future work of the foundation is fiscally prudent and funds are handled with a high degree of fiduciary responsibility. For the right candidate, this exciting role will contribute to shaping future revenue and program growth in support of the foundation’s mission and affords ample opportunity to grow in responsibility as the foundation expands its early literacy footprint in Tennessee.
