Job Summary
Samaritan Recovery Community (SRC) seeks a energetic, self-starter to lead our fundraising and development efforts of our organization. The Director of Development (Director) will spearhead development efforts including our current capital campaign as well as foundation/corporate giving, annual fund, and major gifts. The Director of Development will report to the Executive Director and will work closely with organizational leadership to develop and execute strategies to ensure short and long-term goals in support of the strategic plan, mission, vision, and values of SRC.

The mission of SRC is to provide the highest quality of care possible to people who are suffering from substance use disorders or co-occurring disorders in an environment that preserves and promotes the dignity of the persons served without regard to race, color, creed, gender, economic or social circumstance, sexual orientation, or national origin.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate:
- Action-oriented and passion for SRC’s mission.
- 3- 5 plus years of professional experience in fundraising/development for a nonprofit organization.
- Demonstrated success in a development function managing and forging relationships with multiple donor sources.
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree with advanced degree preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively lead initiatives.
- A strong entrepreneurial spirit and demonstrated effectiveness in growing fundraising or similar programs in a non-profit setting.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral; ability to influence and engage a wide range of donors and build long-term relationships.
- Knowledge of all aspects of fundraising concepts, techniques, and procedures.
- Ability to work both independently without close oversight, but also a team player who will productively engage with others at varying levels of seniority.
