Job Summary
The Digital Marketing Specialist takes a leading role in developing and executing TSCPA’s social media strategies, collaborating with various departments to increase engagement, reach, brand awareness, and membership growth across social media platforms.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain working knowledge of social media trends, best practices, and new technologies to recommend and implement innovative social media strategies, including expansion to new channels based on shifting trends.
- Collaborate with various organizational areas to develop and execute online marketing plans targeted to identified member segments, including students, emerging professionals, and prospective members. This will include the development of some seasonal campaigns related to events such as Accounting Opportunities Week, membership renewals, CPE program marketing, and other member relations campaigns.
- Monitor accounting profession-specific trends, news, hot topics, news, and information and continuously integrate into TSCPA’s online presence.
- Create, curate, and publish engaging content across all social media channels, including but not limited to Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Youtube, and Instagram. Content should be driven through collaboration with various departments and aligned with TSCPA’s communications and marketing goals.
- Manage the TSCPA social media calendar, ensuring content is scheduled and posted on a regular and timely basis.
- Monitor social media analytics to track engagement and performance metrics, identifying opportunities to optimize and improve content. Create a regular reporting structure of social media metrics for the senior leadership team.
- Monitor and respond to comments and messages received through social media channels.
- Maintain the society’s photo archive and serve as a resource for all internal and external photo requests.
- Cover events including but not limited to, written recaps, photo/video capture, and social coverage.
- Assist with other communications-based areas of work as needed, including email production and proofreading, website updates, etc.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, tools, and analytics
- Excellent writing skills with an eye for grammar, spelling, and thoughtful story creation
- Excellent interpersonal skills will the ability to collaborate across organizational departments
- Experience working with the Adobe Creative Suite or similar creative software
- Experience creating graphics and/or videos for social media
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work on tight deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field
