Tennessee Immigrant and Refugee Rights Coalition is seeking a creative, visionary, donor-centric leader to fill a key role in our Development and Operations Team. Depending on experience, this may be a Director or Manager level position.

Job Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee the cultivation and stewardship of major donors: 

  • Cultivate relationships with current and prospective donors and oversee a portfolio of 200+ major donors ($500+), bringing in TIRRC’s Executive Director, board members, and program staff as applicable; 
  • Tailor written and verbal communications with donors to meet the needs of each individual; and Produce high-quality donor-centric communications and concept papers;
  • Create bespoke events for TIRRC’s top supporters and prospective donors using TIRRC’s brand new community hub and other venues as needed.

Grow streams of revenue from corporate sponsorships, events, and grassroots fundraising: 

  • Seek opportunities to secure new streams of revenue from corporate sponsorships; 
  • Work closely with the Operations team to successfully plan, implement, and execute fundraising events aligned with TIRRC’s mission, including the award-winning InterNASHional Food Crawl and InterNASHional Food Series
  • Oversee giving days such as the Big Payback and Giving Tuesday; 
  • Work closely with TIRRC’s leadership to implement TIRRC’s annual fundraising plan. 

Oversee the success of TIRRC Votes’ (TIRRC’s affiliated 501c4) fundraising plan:

  • Grow and cultivate a base of TIRRC Votes donors through grassroots fundraising strategies; 
  • Work with communications team to grow our base of supporters through email campaigns and digital ads; 
  • Establish an annual TIRRC Votes fundraising plan, including an event or gala. 

Organizational Support;

  • Support the overall strategic efforts of the development team;
  • Represent TIRRC at community events, in the media, and with other organizations as needed;
  • Ensure all data is maintained in the organizational database.

Qualifications

  • Experience securing major gifts running high 3 figures to 6 figures highly preferred  
  • Knowledge of the donor lifecycle including prospecting, cultivation, and stewardship 
  • Proven success creating solicitation materials such as email campaigns, year-end giving letter, and event sponsorship packages 
  • Belief in TIRRC’s mission and experience with social justice
  • Demonstrated ability to work on deadline, be highly organized, work with little supervision, and maintain accountability and strong communication with others in collaborative projects
  • Demonstrated ability and comfort with public speaking 
  • Creative, enthusiastic, and relational-minded individual  
  • Availability to work flexible hours including some nights and weekends
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Fluency in English required and another language preferred

Benefits

Salary range: $50,000-$65,000 depending on experience.
