The Development Manager oversees the planning, execution, and completion of development and communications projects, ensuring they align with the organization’s mission, goals, schedules, and budget while coordinating with team members and managing resources effectively.
Job Responsibilities
- Create, coordinate, and manage the activities of the Communications Calendar.
- Create, coordinate, and administer all social media accounts up to and including creating a social media calendar and scheduling out posts.
- Create and execute the monthly VI newsletter.
- Research, organize, prospect, and contact potential external organizational partners, donors, grants, and foundations that can come alongside the strategic plans of the organization.
- Coordinate, administer, and follow up with bi-monthly online training opportunities for the organization (“Tent Talks”).
- Create, maintain, and update as needed any resource materials to support the onboarding and maintenance of the Tents, including the Resource Library, VI 101, etc.
- Facilitate and manage organization-wide events, including the annual World Conference and ShowHearts virtual concert.
- Maintain the organization’s server in conjunction with Box to ensure documents are easily accessible and organized.
- All other job duties as needed and assigned.
Qualifications

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or higher with 3+ years of nonprofit experience.

Benefits
This position is a part-time, mostly remote contract position and the salary is $30/hour. It will require 20-30 hours per week – this will vary week to week on an as-needed basis. We expect that the Development Manager will be a self-starter and use discretion on hours needed per week to complete tasks that have been assigned. Nashville-based is preferred, but not required. Some national and international travel is required. As this is a part-time position, no benefits are provided.
