Job Summary
PTM is a Christian-based afterschool and mentoring program serving over 300 youth in Northwest Nashville. PTM’s youth build a variety of connections—sense of purpose, connection to a caring adult, connection to a positive peer group, connection to enriching experiences, and to academic confidence.
In June, 2020 PTM begins a three-year strategic plan designed to serve more youth in a deeper way. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Development Director will be responsible for leading in developing and sustaining a fundraising plan that ensures PTM has a growing base of support and adequate funds to fulfill its vision that “through joy-filled friendships, Preston Taylor children will pursue their God-inspired dreams”.
Job Responsibilities
Embracing PTM’s Christ-centered mission, the Development Director will lead in growing PTM’s capacity to serve more youth in a deeper way by:
- Connecting with PTM staff, Board of Directors, and Development Committee to grow PTM’s base of support.
- Connecting with individuals to sustain current donors and invite new ones.
- Connecting with churches to build more and stronger partnerships.
- Connecting with corporations and organizations to expand community involvement.
- Connecting with the community through events and communication to spread awareness about PTM’s mission.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (or comparable experience)

Benefits
This is a full-time, exempt position, requiring an average of 40 hours/week, Monday through Friday, with some evenings and weekends required. The Development Director will have flexibility to create a personally workable schedule to satisfy the requirements of the position.
• Salary: $55,000 per year.
• Benefits: $3,000 per year towards health care expenses (optional enrollment in PTM plan).
• 15 days of paid vacation and 2 sick days. Compensatory days to be worked out with supervisor.
• Opportunity for bonus (maximum of $10,000 per year) for meeting Key Performance Indicators
