We are looking for a Development Director to join our leadership team. This role will lead all of the fundraising activities of the organization. However, this role is not simply about raising money. We are looking for someone to raise up a community. Money is not the goal. It is an important tool we use to serve our community.

Job Responsibilities

What you’ll be doing:

  • Update and craft a fund development plan with clear goals/objectives
  • Lead the direct public support fundraising activities of the organization including individuals, companies, foundations, churches, and service organizations
  • Lead, design, and implement the event fundraisers
  • Develop and maintain key long-term relationships with donors and prospects
  • Raise awareness by attending chamber events, networking groups, associations, and clubs
  • Work closely with grant writer to secure new grant opportunities
  • Make asks for funds, event partnerships/tickets, and in-kind donations
