Launch Tennessee (LaunchTN)  is a public-private partnership that supports entrepreneurship and economic development with a goal to make Tennessee the best state in the country for startups. As a 501(c)3 nonprofit we are uniquely positioned to provide direct investment, while also supporting collaboration among founders, investors, researchers, private sector institutions and government. Position Overview:

Development is essential to helping us meet our goals and drive our organizational mission. We are looking for someone who is excited about our mission, embodies our core values, and has a desire to help us put a megaphone on the innovation happening in TN, share about our efforts to support entrepreneurs statewide, and inform where we are headed next.

The Development Coordinator will help LaunchTN use data and other measurable points of information to tell our story as an organization and generate support through multiple channels. The right candidate will be well-organized and detail-oriented, as those attributes will be essential for assisting with grant funding pursuit and compliance. The Development Coordinator will be responsible for using data and metrics to develop recurring and one-time reports for internal use and for sharing with external stakeholders. In addition to working with grants, the position will touch on multiple areas of fundraising and partner cultivation.

Job Responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Work with development team to administer and evaluate survey data for program evaluation and partner progress
  • Develop recurring and one-time reports for internal and external use (i.e. to satisfy requirements for grant compliance/reporting, to ensure compliance with district, state, and federal policies, regulations, and laws)
  • Maintain spreadsheets and other tools used in data compliance
  • Participate in efforts to maintain organization’s database
  • Work with other team members and partners to assist in their use of data and metrics in their programmatic reporting

Plan and execute all responsibilities with a view toward:

  • Maximizing authentic inclusion, collaboration, and partnership with Network Partners, Ecosystem Builders, and other stakeholders with a focus on user (and team member) experience and empathy for that experience
  • Expanding direct or indirect financial and non-financial resources available to Tennessee companies to enable their formation, growth, and sustainability

Qualifications

  • Willingness to become a part of the Tennessee entrepreneurial support ecosystem and play a part in building a more thriving and innovative Tennessee
  • Service-oriented with genuine interest in working for a not-for-profit organization
  • Bachelor’s degree in field related to work described
  • Advanced Excel user
  • G Suite user experience
  • Familiarity with relational database management and integrations (i.e. Airtable platform, Zapier workflow automation)
  • Strong command of technology as a tool for organizational success and an interest in effective utilization of technology
  • Effective communicator who is organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work with data to generate insights and present information in the form of data reports and dashboards
  • Time management and adherence to deadlines
