Job Summary

EXPLANATION OF DUTIES 

Our organization will be able to serve more hurting families with a Development Coordinator who will strengthen our organization and increase the impact of our work by cultivating and nurturing REBOOT’s supporters through exceptional communication and stewardship. This position will build strong relationships with individuals, foundations, and corporations and will manage various fundraising efforts including targeted campaign efforts, events, and grant-writing. 

The most important characteristic of our Development Coordinator is that they are a strategic self-starter  who is personally committed to our mission to help hurting families heal by applying Christian faith-based principles.  They hold to the highest ethical standards in fundraising and are able to passionately and articulately communicate the REBOOT narrative.

DEFINITION OF SUCCESS

Success will be measured by successful execution of fundraising campaigns (e-appeals, events, grant funding, direct asks) and achievement of revenue goals as set forth by the Executive Director. 


 

Job Responsibilities

  • Stay knowledgeable of fundraising trends and the nonprofit community
  • Build relationships with individuals, corporations, and foundations as assigned by the Executive Director and execute strategy to steward and nurture donors to increase giving levels
  • Research and write charitable grant proposals and collaborate with Operations Director to ensure timely and accurate grant reporting
  • Successfully execute annual fundraising event in collaboration with Executive Assistant
  • Research and identify potential event donors and sponsors and implement strategies to foster positive relationships and improve donor upgrade strategies
  • Ensure that all donor information and gifts are recorded and that the donation acknowledgement process is efficient and timely
  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of all fundraising solicitations to include social media
  • Answer donor and staff inquiries in a timely fashion
  • Manage media inquiries and execution of press releases 
  • Assist organization in developing model to execute fundraising eve

Qualifications

  • 1-3  years of experience in fundraising or similar sales role
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
  • Strong interpersonal and writing skills. Writing sample required
  • Demonstrated success in fundraising or sales
  • Experience in motivating staff, board members and other volunteers
  • Knowledge of Donor database or similar systems, Apple pages and Google docs
