Job Summary

TIRRC is seeking an enthusiastic Development Coordinator to organize and execute events, cultivate relationships with donors, and build more welcoming and inclusive communities. This position will support the daily operations of the development team, including membership, merchandise, stewardship, and CRM/database support.

Job Responsibilities

Mission-focused fundraising events 

  • Support implementation of in-person and virtual fundraising strategies, including cultivation, engagement, and stewardship activities for TIRRC and TIRRC Votes with a focus on grassroots fundraising;
  • Assist with planning, implementing, and executing fundraising events aligned with TIRRC’s mission, including the award-winning InterNashional Food Series and other food-related events;
  • Assist in designing creative strategies for generating revenue while supporting immigrant and refugee entrepreneurs and restaurateurs;
  • Assist in implementing TIRCC’s grassroots membership campaign through strategy, engagement and promotion;
  • Bring vision for how to grow and market TIRRC’s line of merchandise.

Community-led fundraising strategies 

  • Assist with the planning and implementation of the BigPayback, Giving Tuesdays and the Year-End Campaign;
  • Assist in implementing ways for staff, allies and members to be more active in TIRRC’s fundraising, such as peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns;
  • Generate donor reports and stewardship lists from the CRM/database as needed;
  • Oversee the cultivation of small donors and monthly sustainers to raise $40,000 annually;
  • Assist with implementing engagement strategies to improve donor retention, stewardship and cultivation.

Oversee the cultivation and stewardship of small donors and monthly sustainers 

  • Track and report revenues from sustainers and donors;
  • Cultivate and steward small donors weekly with calls, emails and/or thank you cards;
  • Plan and execute volunteer stewardship events;
  • Help to manage giving platforms and corresponding data entry, as needed.

Organizational Support 

  • Support the overall strategic efforts of the development team;
  • Represent TIRRC at community events and with other organizations as needed;
  • Ensure all data is maintained in the organizational database;
  • Participate in significant organizational events.

  • Belief in TIRRC’s mission and commitment to social justice;

  • Experience with fundraising and event management preferred;
  • Demonstrated ability to work on deadline, be highly organized, work with little supervision, and maintain accountability and strong communication with others in collaborative projects
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and work in a fast-paced environment;
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including some nights and weekends;
  • Fluency in English required and another language preferred;
  • Must have reliable transportation.
