Job Summary

Job Summary: The Development Coordinator works with the Assistant Director of Development to manage individual giving efforts, including fundraising events. This person coordinates cultivation and stewardship for the Circle membership program (annual member gifts $1,000 and above) and the museum’s cohort groups initiatives (i.e. Friends of Contemporary Art; Friends of support groups; Art Deco Society; etc.). This person also organizes the Frist Gala, the primary fundraising event for the Frist Art Museum, and the summer fundraising event.
Job Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Using donor database software, maintains donor records for all individual donors.
- Processes Circle membership benefits including membership cards.
- Generates and assembles all individual giving mailings including solicitations and membership renewals.
- Maintains RSVP lists for all donor events.
- Generates development reports.
- Coordinates logistics and invitations for fundraising events.
- Generates recognition lists.
- Assists with individual giving correspondence.
- Other duties as assigned
Frist Gala:
- Oversees list management.
- Arranges and attends monthly meetings with volunteers.
- Assists with event logistics.
- Generates all mailings.
- Coordinate reservations for Frist Gala events.
Qualifications
Education: A bachelor’s degree is preferred.

- Well organized with a high attention to detail
- Strong commitment to confidentiality and professional discretion
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to creative problem solve and ability to work both independently and within a team
- Occasional nights and weekends for special events may be required
