Job Summary
Primary Responsibility:
This position serves the Lipscomb Payroll and HR Departments through assistance with data related needs.
Job Responsibilities
Typical Duties:
- Serve as the primary administrator of WFR, the electronic timekeeping system used for all employees.
- Review and correct time data entered into WFR.
- Train new supervisors and employees on the use of the timekeeping system.
- Responsible for vacation and sick leave accrual calculations, maintenance, and employee inquiries.
- Verify new hire information provided by HR staff in the payroll system for employees to ensure accuracy of set up in the HRP platform.
- Enter and update tax information and direct deposit information for employees.
- Ensure accuracy of changes processed, including employment changes, benefit enrollments and changes, etc.
- Process termination in WFR system. Ensure terminations are accurate for payroll.
- Process bi-weekly payroll by transferring data from WFR into UKG, thoroughly reviewing timesheet information, variances, etc. Making any corrections for adjustments, and timely submitting to Payment Services for processing.
- Process post-payroll reports for Finance and to Vendors.
- Back up for monthly payroll processing,
- Complete verification of employment requests timely.
- Reporting duties as requested. Responsible for preparing and validating data requests for reporting both internally and externally, serving as the resource for all employee data requests. This will include data extract and validation for internal and external requests of the Human Resources/Payroll department.
- Assist in the successful completion of major payroll projects such as audit requests, annual salary increases, etc.
- Back up to the Payroll Manager.
- Provide customer assistance by responding to payroll email inbox, respond to questions for employees who email, call and stop by the office.
- Review and respond to questions regarding leave balances as maintained in WFR for hourly and salaried employees.
- Maintain professional conduct, strict confidentiality and customer service to employees, students and other departments.
- Other duties as may be required.
Qualifications
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience: 1-3 years experience payroll processing
Additional Comments: Experience in administrative role in lieu of degree or payroll experience would be considered
