Job Summary

Nashville Children’s Alliance (NCA) is seeking an enthusiastic Data and Communications Specialist to implement data tracking and reporting systems for the organization to ensure future funding and to improve our work in serving children and families in Nashville. This person will play a critical role in developing and maintaining NCA’s evaluations and compliance with funders. The Data and Communications Specialist will have an opportunity to closely collaborate with program and development staff to support and maintain an evaluation model designed to accurately assess program impact, identify areas for improvement or intervention, and highlight opportunities for learning and replication. The Specialist will maintain NCA’s website, newsletters and monitor and maintain all social media platforms.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead data collection within the organization
  • Sort and organize data across platforms and systems, including NCAtrak, Google Sheets, Outcome Measurement Surveys and other platforms
  • Drive data analysis and interpretation with a specific focus on compliance
  • Generate and submit internal and external reports, including synthesizing data received 
  • Maintain data integrity and security
  • Perform additional data requests in a timely manner
  • Prepare data for meetings, presentations, and reporting 
  • Train and assist staff with data entry
  • Interact with stakeholders in manner that promotes NCA in community
  • Maintain social media platforms and other communications

Qualifications

  • Belief in NCA’s mission and commitment to providing trauma-informed care to children and families 
  • One year experience with database administration, data analysis
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Advanced Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel and Google Slides/PowerPoint skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, and organizational skills
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills
