Job Summary
Goodwill’s Controller will be responsible for managing the organization’s accounting functions, financial reporting, as well as supporting the financial health and sustainability of the organization. This position supervises the Accounting team and oversees Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Banking, Grant Accounting, Lease Accounting, Fixed Assets, and General Ledger Activities.
Job Responsibilities
Below are some of the duties of this role:
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements
- Prepare journal entries and reconciliations, ensuring that financial records are complete and accurate.
- Manage and supervise the day-to-day financial operations of the organization
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, contracts, and accounting standards.
- Oversee annual tax filings and 1099 preparations

Qualifications
Below are the qualifications needed for the position:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required
- 5+ years experience in accounting
- CPA and supervisory experience required
- Must be bondable
