Contracts and Grants Manager
Children's Advocacy Centers of Tennessee
The Contracts and Grants Manager is responsible for leading all grant management, reporting and compliance processes and procedures, inclusive of data gathering and analysis. This position leads the organization’s efforts to support our member child advocacy centers (CACs) and Children’s Advocacy Centers of Tennessee (CACTN) through grant partnerships of all types and from all sources. CACTN is a statewide membership association supporting child advocacy centers in Tennessee as they work to provide investigative and healing services in response to allegations of child abuse. This position is based in Nashville, TN, is currently non-supervisory, and reports directly to the Executive Director.
Generally, the person in this position will work in an office environment but may occasionally be required to perform job duties outside of the typical office setting.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position, and primary hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. This position occasionally requires longer hours and occasional weekend work.
Travel is primarily local/within the state during the business day, although some out-of-area travel and overnight stays may be expected.
- Develops and builds relationships with current and potential grant partners, including sourcing/ researching funding opportunities, and writing grant proposals
- Manages the grant program, inclusive of grant funding, contractual obligations, and administrative functions, for grants supporting CACTN and grants administered by CACTN for the benefit of our member child advocacy centers
- Responsible for grant reporting for CACTN, and for grant reporting verification, administration, and assistance for our member CACs
- Responsible for creating and submitting required quarterly, semi-annual, and/or annual reports by means of extracting, importing, and exporting data from various database applications
- Responsible for managing outcome measurement system (OMS) and formulating and delivering reports in response to requests for data from all sources
- Provides grant/contract related consultative and technical assistance to established and developing CACs
- Serves as liaison for CACTN and member CACs to major grant funding sources.
- Ensures grant compliance through administrative management and reporting
- Manages database systems and functions related to grant obligations and service delivery, including working with the State of Tennessee’s Family and Child Tracking System (TFACTS) and member CACs use of NCATrak database, including utilization, integration and data integrity and quality
- Monitors TFACTS/NCATrak data transfers to ensure daily and accurate data transmission and engages in problem solving as needed
- Assist with ongoing assessment of data gaps by researching and/or collecting data that may contribute to service development
- Perform data quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Generate data reports in preparation of training materials, board meetings, community presentations, publications, marketing collaterals, and other educational materials
- Implements new data collection strategies and procedures, as appropriate
Support CACTN Teamwork by Supporting CACTN Policies, Shared Strategic Initiatives, Procedures, and Participating in Staff Activities:
- Maintain knowledge of CACTN policies, procedures, and software
- Participate in CACTN staff huddles, functional teams, staff meetings and pertinent conferences and meetings
- Provide staff support at CACTN sponsored events, such as the annual Connecting for Children’s Justice Conference and other events
- Perform other tasks and duties as identified by the Executive Director

Required Education and Experience:
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in business, nonprofit administration, or closely related field; at least three years of grants management experience. Relevant work experience in lieu of required education and experience will be considered.
Master’s degree and knowledge of state laws related to children’s advocacy centers and grant management standards is preferred.
- Strong computer skills; specifically, in Microsoft office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, TEAMs, etc.) and electronic tracking database applications
- Report development and/or grant management/monitoring
- Ability to review fiscal documentation for compliance with federal and state guidelines
- Ability to identify problems and implement effective solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
