TENNCARE OVERVIEW

 

TennCare is Tennessee’s managed care Medicaid program that provides health insurance coverage to certain groups of low-income individuals such as pregnant women, children, caretaker relatives of young children, older adults, and adults with physical disabilities.  TennCare provides coverage for approximately 1.4 million Tennesseans and operates with an annual budget of approximately $12 billion.  It is run by the Division of TennCare with oversight and some funding from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

JOB AND DEPARTMENTAL OVERVIEW

Job Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to inbound emails received in the CAM shared mailbox

• Ensures accurate inventory of assets by assisting with the maintenance of various databases

• Verify the monthly asset billing by utilizing TennCare ServiceNOW database system

• Maintain and manage contractor contact information for TennCare in support of communication and business operations

• Collect and arrange transactional information from team members to compose weekly team briefings and share cumulatively with executive leader monthly (i.e. tasks worked, headcount vacancy reports, on/offboarding information)

• Assist the CAM director in coordination with vendors in efforts to recruit, on-board, off-board contractors

• Support the CAM team in special projects on an as needed basis

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

• 1-2 years of experience in an administrative assistant and customer service-oriented role

• Bachelor’s degree

• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

• Professional and effective communication skills, verbal and written

• Strong research and analytical skillset, including the ability to integrate information from multiple sources

• Strong analytical background in technology

• Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and manage workload to meet specific timeframes and deadlines

• Ability to foster and maintain satisfactory and harmonious working relationship with internal and external customers  

 

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

 

• Knowledge and experience of government contractor workforce practices.

• Advanced Microsoft Office experience, specially Excel and PowerPoint
