Job Summary

(Community) The Community Outreach Coordinator works to engage and educate the community about Nashville Diaper Connection, its partners and services. The Outreach Coordinator will represent the organization at a variety of community events including: health events, partner/community gatherings and other engagements.  The Outreach Coordinator will regularly visit and deliver diapers to various institutions including clinics, public schools, community colleges, trade schools, community-based organization (“CBO”) partners, and other places where families find community and support.

(Partners) The Community Outreach Coordinator is responsible for community-based organization research, outreach, and relationship building. The Community Outreach coordinator handles Partner onboarding, support, coordination, communication and relationship management to ensure referrals, visibility, and program awareness. The Community Outreach Coordinator is primarily responsible for providing the most up-to-date education and information on Nashville Diaper Connection’s services and programs to our partners, potential partners, other community-based organizations, and the general community.

The Community Outreach Coordinator provides excellent customer service by responding to partner inquiries, resolves questions regarding diaper orders/deliveries, and making prompt and courteous deliveries of orders to Nashville Diaper Connection’s Partner network. The Community Outreach coordinator makes pick-ups as necessary and fulfills general warehouse duties.

 

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities may vary but will likely include:

  • Conduct self in a professional and ethical manner at all times, treating external and internal customers and associates with courtesy and respect
  • Strengthens existing relationships and cultivates new ones through working with Operations Director and existing Partner network and new referring CBOs
  • Represents Nashville Diaper Connection in a pleasant and knowledgeable manner  at a variety of events including; health events and partner/community gatherings, at community colleges, trade schools, community partners, and other places where families congregate.  This includes setup and breakdown of a table with diapers and promotional materials in a visually pleasing manner.
  • Performs community outreach and education to raise visibility and awareness of Nashville Diaper Connection.
  • Assists staff in identifying new outreach opportunities and partnerships
  • Correspond with partners about diaper needs and community involvement
  • Receive orders, gather orders, load orders, deliver orders as needed at partner and/or branch locations
  • Drive company vehicle to make partner deliveries and pick-ups, and assist in maintaining the appearance of Nashville Diaper Connection and Nashville Diaper Connection vehicles
  • Attends weekly staff meetings
  • Prepares weekly reports
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or higher
  • Highly organized
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required
  • Maintaining appropriate licensing, credentials and acceptable driving record
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and arms to finger, handle, feel, or carry; reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance or stoop; kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is regularly required to lift up to 25 lbs. Must be able to safely tolerate heat in the summer and cold in the winter. The employee is regularly required to talk or hear; read and identify numbers for accurate order filling and receiving of material. The employee is regularly required to apply sound reasoning and logic performing daily tasks. The employee is required to be able to safely operate a pallet jack and industrial van.
