Job Summary

Mercy Community Healthcare has an immediate opening for a high impact Fundraiser and Educator who is looking for a Christian work environment where they can make a positive difference in the lives of others.

Summary: This position is responsible for coordinating Mercy’s community outreach, education and fundraising events to ensure we meet our patient, and revenue goals for the communities in which we serve.

Job Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Develop, organize and facilitate all fundraising and outreach events, including but not limited to: collect payments, registration forms, contracts, waivers, certificates of liability insurance, and 501 (c) 3 when applicable; electronically and manually files all necessary documents and records. Ensure payments, forms, and paperwork are correctly processed. Coordinate room set up for events, ensuring proper room layout, audio/visual checks, and maintaining equipment and storage.

Recruit sponsorship and participation, including involvement by local businesses, corporations, staff, board members, volunteers, and alumni. Identify potential vendors and other partners. Act as the point of contact for all vendors and guests on event day. Assists with vendor load-in and load-out.

Collaborate with others on the creation of targeted marketing materials and email blasts. Develop and implement tracking mechanisms to evaluate expenses, revenue, participation, etc. for each event and also based on quarterly and annual goals. 

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Business Development or related field required.

Experience: 3+ years of experience in marketing, events or sales; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be proficient with measuring and reaching income goals. Must be proficient with MS Office, including Publisher, Word and Excel. Working knowledge of other marketing platforms preferred.
