Job Summary
One of two teachers guiding a group of 10 kindergarten and 1st grade students through virtual learning associated with enrollment at their respective schools and developing daily/activities to augment learning in a fun, flexible manner. We are looking for a teacher who will spend as much time outside as possible when not guiding students through required virtual lessons.
The families within the co-op are working professionals. We value authentic education of our diverse, energetic and unique children and expect any teacher to pour into them, while pushing them to be their best selves. As this is a co-op, each family will have a parent/representative volunteering every two weeks (i.e. Family A parent volunteers every other Friday), so that there are 2-3 adults with the students at all times. Please note, this is not a school or childcare center. It’s a group of parents who have limited options in this virtual, COVID-19 environment, and are working together to meet the needs of our respective families.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor’s in Education or related field preferred

Additional Notes
The co-op is based in south Nashville. The hours are 7:30a -3:30p. Looking to fill the position quickly as school will begin the week of Aug. 3, 2020. Teachers will be expected to wear masks except when eating or away from the children.
Job Responsibilities
In addition to teaching, teachers and parents are responsible for maintaing a clean space, monitoring supplies and communicating with the group.
