Job Summary
In partnership with the Tennessee Department of Human Services (TDHS), ChildcareTennessee provides several resources and grants to Tennessee’s licensed child care programs. Our goal is to strengthen quality, increase capacity and promote compliance of licensing standards to support improved child outcomes in early childhood education and enhance child care programs.
We are seeking an Associate of Technical Services to support the ChildcareTennessee team with reporting and providing technical assistance.
This position is based on the continuation of grant funding.
Job Responsibilities
- Helpdesk: managing helpdesk tickets, providing solutions and advice on issues, responding to emails and calls from child care agencies and directing them to the appropriate team member as necessary, documenting and analyzing technical issues and customer interactions for quality improvement.
- Manages membership for ChildcareTennessee.com. This includes verifying new membership requests, terminating memberships, monitoring existing membership (temporary and permanent), and maintaining all reports related to the membership roster.
- Coordinate the collection and completion of final reports including review of reports to ensure compliance, providing technical assistance to child care agencies, assisting finance team with audit preparation, and communicating status updates to ChildcareTennessee staff and child care agencies.
- Maintain accurate record of child care provider’s contact details and other information
- Actively participate in all relevant meetings and events
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years in a previous customer service or technical support role preferred.
- Must be organized and able to prioritize workload based on timelines and competing priorities
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google Suites, especially Excel or Sheets
- Ability to operate with minimal supervision, with initiative and discretion
- Problem solving and critical thinking skills, strong mathematical skills are desired
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional teamwork and leadership skills to support team members and child care agencies
