Job Summary

The Chapter Relations Specialist serves as the liaison to TSCPA’s eight chapters and is responsible for assisting chapters in fulfilling volunteer responsibilities in accordance with policies, bylaws, and centralized record keeping procedures. Responsibilities include oversight and execution of chapter communications, event coordination, and relationship management. This position is also responsible for supporting special projects within the membership department related to member engagement, recruitment, and retention.

Job Responsibilities

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

CHAPTER RELATIONS:

  • Serve as primary staff liaison to TSCPA’s eight chapters
  • Attend chapter Board of Directors meetings and general membership meetings as directed
  • Oversee the operations of TSCPA’s chapters in accordance with applicable policies and bylaws
  • Coordinate and execute chapter event logistics (facility contract and BEO review, securing speakers and special vendors, creating timelines, coordinating logistics and volunteers)
  • Coordinate and execute chapter communications pieces and assist in promoting chapter activities
  • Coordinate TN CPA Journal and social media content related to chapter activities
  • Ensure chapter nominations processes are followed and officer slates are filled in accordance with established policies

MEMBERSHIP SUPPORT:

  • Provide support to TSCPA’s membership engagement, recruitment and retention efforts, including student outreach, Emerging Professionals programs, DEI initiatives and other engagement programs as assigned.

Qualifications

PREFERRED SKILLS & EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills with ability to build and sustain professional relationships
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently, managing competing priorities and deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Understanding of current technology including Microsoft Office applications, proficiency with email, videoconferencing, and information security awareness
