To make a real difference in the Greater Nashville area?  If the answer is yes, come join our team!  FiftyForward has an excellent opportunity for a Center Director at our FiftyForward Madison location.  

In this role, you will serve as the primary leader and presence of Fiftyforward in the Madison Station community.  The Center Director provides leadership in all aspects of operations including planning, implementing, administering and evaluating programs and services of the Center, as well as supervising Center staff. The Center Director will work with FiftyForward senior leadership, FiftyForward Madison Station Advisory Council, and community partners to secure and develop various resources to operate and strengthen FiftyForward Madison Station.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage Center operation including supervision of staff, managing the budget, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all guests to the Center.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain beneficial working relationships within the Madison Station community (business, religious, educational, and senior population) promoting a positive image of aging, FiftyForward Madison Station, and the FiftyForward organization.
  • Share in the planning and overall management and functioning of FiftyForward as a member of the leadership team.
  • Participate in annual budgeting process, overseeing program revenues and expenses in accordance with the organization’s approved budget.
  • Manage Madison Station employee lifecycle (recruiting, hiring, training, evaluating, and terminations) in consultation with the Human Resources Director, CEO and Chief Program Officer.
  • Prepare and submit reports (monthly, quarterly, and annually) as required or requested. Ensure procedures and records are in compliance with organization and funding source requirements.
  • Ensure development, program, membership, and financial goals are met annually.
  • Staff Advisory Council and other administrative program committees as necessary.
  • Partner with facilities in overseeing Center maintenance.  Work with staff and instructors regarding space utilization including rental of space.
  • Serve as primary point of contact with the Communications department regarding adherence to the FiftyForward brand.  Ensure Center materials and messages are compliant with brand management and standards.
  • Partner with Development team with planning and hosting annual Whistlestop fundraising event.
  • Participate in professional associations within the senior adult services field and actively engage with the Madison business and professional community.
  • Build relationships with other FiftyForward program teams (i.e., Care Team, RSVP, FGP) to assist in overall development/support of FiftyForward programs

Qualifications

Skills

  • Excellent communication (verbal/written) and presentation skills.
  • Strong supervisory skills with experience in managing/developing a team.
  • Proficient computer skills, MS Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Excellent detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Open to constructive feedback, and creative dialogue with FiftyForward Management Team.
  • Proven ability to be flexible and work cooperatively with a wide range of members, constituents, and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated skills in organizational management.
  • Promote and uphold FiftyForward’s mission of supporting, championing, and enhancing life for those 50 and older.  Ability to work with older adults.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social services or related field.  Prefer Master’s degree in social work, public administration, or related field.
  • 4-7 years’ experience in a social services agency with preferred experience working in a non-profit social services organization.
  • Must be First Aid/CPR and ServSafe-certified or able to obtain certification.
  • A valid TN driver’s license including a good motor vehicle record, and appropriate automobile insurance.
  • Able to drive a 13-15 seat passenger group travel van.
