Job Summary

University School of Nashville invites applications for the position of Business Office Associate. The Business Office Associate will coordinate and process all expenditures for USN; provide payroll, benefits, and onboarding support; and serve as primary support for greeting visitors for the Business Office at this highly respected K-12 independent school. This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer and is full-time non-exempt.

Job Responsibilities

The Business Office Associate will administrate a wide range of accounts payable and Business Office processes including invoice/payment processing and expense reimbursements, vendor relationships, as well as assisting with external audits, financial statement preparation, and reconciliation. In addition, the position is responsible for administering and coordinating USN’s purchasing card program and providing payroll, benefits, and onboarding support. Additional duties include greeting visitors and maintaining accounts payable and business office files.


The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and be a professional who is dependable and organized, with integrity, enthusiasm, and a can-do attitude. Attention to detail and dedication to compliance with accounting standards are expected. Preference will be given to candidates with a 4-year degree in a related field and at least two years experience in accounting processes, payables, purchasing, bookkeeping, and/or payroll. Strong computer skills are a must and experience with Blackbaud Financial Edge, PayCom, Paymerang, and/or Truist Enterprise Spending Platform (ESP) is a plus.
