Job Summary

Job description: Provide clients accounting and bookkeeping services with minimal oversight and ongoing accountability.

Job Responsibilities

-Internally: Work part-time with a few, quality people with long-term relationships and partnerships in mind.

-Externally: Serve a few, service-minded clientele in the same industries with superior work and excellent quality customer service. Experience working with entrepreneurs and small-business owners is preferred. Current industries served by The Consultancy are nonprofit and trucking. Experience with either is preferred. More industries will be added in Q1 and Q2, 2023.

-This person is (as are all who work with The Consultancy) an independent contractor. Neither this person nor The Consultancy will be paid for the expected 1-2 months of working hand-in-hand to determine and fine-tune bookkeeping services provided, costs and processes to carry them out. An example is whether your work is offered as hourly or per project. -Requirement to live in the Middle Tennessee area and ability to drive to The Consultancy in south Nashville when/as needed.

Preferred skills:

-Accounting in various states.

-Quicken.

-Google Drive.

-Experience working with entrepreneurs and small-business owners is preferred.

-Experience working in the nonprofit and/or trucking industries is preferred.

-Educate clients as needed, as appropriate.

-Understand and work with the client’s priorities in mind including, but not limited to, maintaining their business size vs. growing their business, ability to work with clients “where they are” in their understanding of finances and use The Consultancy methods when/where appropriate.

-Work as an independent contractor.

-Work remotely with own, reliable computer and Internet access. It is doubtful many or any clients will be in the Nashville area.

-Reliable transportation to meet with The Consultancy representative to brainstorm and implement ideas then continue meeting in person thereafter if/when needed.
