Job Summary

East Nashville Wellness Center is looking for a well-qualified board member to join our team. We are a new non-profit organization that incorporated in February, 2021. Our mission is to restore the wellness of Nashvillians through improving mental health, curbing addiction, and helping to find the music again. We provide mental health and substance use services to those in need.

We are extremely proud of the accomplishments of our foundational board. However, we are in the process of transitioning into our next phase of activity, and thus are seeking additional team members. In our first year we received our 501c3 non-profit status, served over 250 patients, hosted our first fundraising event, brought on three staff members, and so much more.

Our new board member would assist us in growing the organization from our current startup phase to long term stability. We are looking for somebody with experience working with growing non-profits. Particularly somebody with fundraising expertise and grant writing experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in driving forward the strategic vision of our organizaiton
• Creating and revieing the annual budget
• Assisting in fundraising activities
• Assisting in grant writing activities
• Planning and hosting fundraising events
• Leading donation drives
• Review annual reports
• Provide assistance to executive leadership as needed

Qualifications

• Prior experience in non-profit organizations recommended
• Prior fundraising or grant writing experience recommended
• Prior experience working with mental health and substance use organizations recommended
