Consider volunteering as a member of the Board of Directors of the  Community Resource Center.

About community resource center:

The Community Resource Center (CRC) is a Nashville-based non-profit organization that is dedicated to providing essential hygiene and cleaning supplies to individuals in Middle Tennessee. Since its inception in 1991, CRC has tirelessly worked towards helping families and individuals who are facing crisis. The organization’s mission is to build a stronger community by ensuring that everyone has access to basic resources that they deserve.

CRC’s services are provided free of charge to those in need, and their focus is on meeting basic needs such as hygiene items and cleaning supplies. CRC also collaborates with various community partners, such as faith-based organizations, schools, and other non-profit organizations, to ensure that their services reach those who need them most. The work done by the CRC is essential for the well-being of Nashville’s community, as they provide necessities that help individuals and families to maintain their health, dignity, and self-respect.

Qualifications

BOARD OPPORTUNITY:

The Board of Directors of the CRC represents a range of individuals who are all passionate about supporting the Middle Tennessee community – and driving the success of a unique and critically important nonprofit. Our diverse Board reflects a range of backgrounds and expertise – and we are looking to add even more.

The CRC wants to expand our Board with stellar candidates who can drive the future growth of the CRC. As part of that process, we are looking to connect with individuals who could potentially help complement our existing Board members, bringing specific, valuable expertise to our team.

We would especially love to hear from candidates with backgrounds in:

• Retail/Wholesale Buying and/or Manufacturing/Wholesale Selling
• Warehousing/Distribution Center Management
• Transportation/Logistics

Our Board members are active and engaged, attending monthly virtual meetings and quarterly in-person meetings. There are several committees Board members can choose to join, dovetailing with their experience and allowing a meaningful opportunity to help steer the organization. We also have fun – supporting multiple annual fundraising events throughout the year.
