Neighbor 2 Neighbor is currently accepting applications for membership to our Board of Directors. The following positions are currently open:

Neighbor 2 Neighbor is seeking a board that reflects the diversity of our metropolitan community. We do not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status in any of its activities or operations. These activities include, but are not limited to, hiring and firing of staff, selection of volunteers and vendors, and provision of services. WE are committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment.

Job Responsibilities

Standard responsibilities and duties generally expected for any board service. These include, but are not limited to, regular attendance at all board and assigned board committee meetings, making a personally significant annual financial contribution to the organization, assisting with fundraising, and following through on all commitments made.

Our board members serve as ambassadors to the community and are expected to promote the mission and work of the organization by all appropriate means.

Fundraising activities are expected of all board members. We offer a range of activities tailored to the skills and experience of the individual board member.

Every year, approximately one-third of our board is replaced. We are currently seeking candidates with the following experience:

  • Finance/Accounting
  • Fundraising
  • Law
  • Marketing
  • Nonprofit Management

Please note that we have At-Large Representatives and Precinct Representatives. Precinct Representatives must be actively involved in their neighborhood organization. This is not a requirement of our At-Large Representatives, though it is encouraged. Regardless of the position, all board members must be committed to fostering strong and vibrant neighborhood organizations across the metropolitan area.
