Job Summary

Do You Want to Help Foster Strong and Vibrant Neighborhood Organizations Across the Metropolitan Area?

Neighbor 2 Neighbor is currently accepting applications for membership to our Board of Directors. The following positions are currently open:

  • At-Large Representatives
  • East Precinct Representative
  • South Precinct Representative
  • Central Precinct Representative

Board membership is a serious responsibility and requires a commitment of time, energy and finances. Prospective candidates must be committed to the mission and work of our organization. We will be accepting applications through the end of October.

 

TERM

If selected, board members will serve a three-year term that will begin on January 1, 2023. The term will end on December 31, 2025.

 

NOTICE

Neighbor 2 Neighbor is seeking a board that reflects the diversity of our metropolitan community. Job Responsibilities

Standard responsibilities and duties generally expected for any board service. These include, but are not limited to, regular attendance at all board and assigned board committee meetings, making a personally significant annual financial contribution to the organization, assisting with fundraising, and following through on all commitments made.

Our board members serve as ambassadors to the community and are expected to promote the mission and work of the organization by all appropriate means.

Fundraising activities are expected of all board members. We offer a range of activities tailored to the skills and experience of the individual board member.

Qualifications

Every year, approximately one-third of our board is replaced. We are currently seeking candidates with the following experience:

  • Finance/Accounting
  • Fundraising
  • Law
  • Marketing
  • Nonprofit Management

Please note that we have At-Large Representatives and Precinct Representatives. Precinct Representatives must be actively involved in their neighborhood organization. This is not a requirement of our At-Large Representatives, though it is encouraged. Regardless of the position, all board members must be committed to fostering strong and vibrant neighborhood organizations across the metropolitan area.
