Job Summary
The bilingual call specialist (BCS) will work with the community outreach team to cover the Spanish-speaking portion of the in-house call center. The BCS will return appointment inquiry calls for potential ASAFMT clients, review qualifying details, and navigate the scheduling appointment process for all Spanish-speaking ASAMT clients. The BCS will schedule transportation through a concierge platform for clients seeking transportation to and from their ASAFMT appointment(s). The BCS will follow up by email or phone with clients seeking additional referral resources. The BCS may represent the organization at community events, health fairs, and other speaking engagements, as well as at various institutions including community colleges, trade schools, universities, community partners, and other places where young people congregate if needed. The BCS may provide translations for ASAFMT education programming when needed.
Job Responsibilities
Duties will include:
- Answers call through the call center that is open M-F, 8 am to 5 pm, and schedules clients with appointments
- Navigates scheduling and confirming appointments for Spanish-speaking ASAFMT clients with partner clinics
- Utilizes multiple platforms to communicate with clients, staff, and clinics, i.e. Google Suite, Microsoft Teams, WebEx
- Collaborate with other call center professionals and outreach staff to improve customer service
- Attends monthly staff meetings (as needed, if available)
Qualifications
The ideal candidate has the following skills/experience:
- Fluent in Spanish (required)
- Excellent oral communication
- An understanding of reproductive health
- A passion for community enhancement, engagement, and empowerment
- Organizational acumen
- A motivated self-starter and capable of working alone within a few weeks of starting
