Job Responsibilities

This position is responsible for scheduling patient appointments as well as general clerical duties such as answering multi-line phone system, greeting patients and entering appointments into the EMR system. In addition to checking in patients, making sure patients fill out necessary forms and taking messages for physicians.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proper telephone etiquette
  • Perform patient scheduling for numerous physicians
  • Take patient demographic and insurance information over the phone
  • Assist with incoming referrals
  • Application of HIPAA laws

Education:High School Graduate or Equivalent. Must be bilingual – fluent in both Spanish and English
Experience:2 years of healthcare business office experience (medical office experience a plus), excellent customer service and data entry skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook. Must be familiar with medical terminology and medical shorthand. Experience with EMR operating system such as Greenway/Primesuite required.
Functional Competencies: Exceptional organizational skills, ability to multitask, maintain confidentiality & privacy, detail oriented, excellent communication skills, process oriented, ability to work alone or in a group.
