Job Summary

Manages programs and employees with the intent to succeed the Executive Director of Gallatin Shalom Zone (GSZ), a 501c3 non-profit organization located in Gallatin, TN. The Mission of Gallatin Shalom Zone is to empower and enrich the lives of individuals and families in our diverse community by providing meaningful assistance and quality programs. The establishment of the Union High Resource Center provides Gallatin Shalom Zone opportunities to partner with community members and other organizations to build the physical, educational, emotional, spiritual and economic health of the community through programs that foster sustainable and healthy living. By promoting healing in Sumner County, Gallatin Shalom Zone will be participating in the vibrancy of Gallatin and Sumner County for generations to come.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assure adherence to the mission of GSZ programs and services
  • Supervise Program Coordinator, Volunteer Coordinator, and ESL Coordinator to assure best practices and compliance with policies and procedures
  • Foster volunteer participation and build strong relationships with volunteer leadership; monitor volunteer assignments; and provide follow-up coordination
  • Assist Executive Director in fundraising; including identification of individuals, corporations, and foundations that are interested in supporting GSZ
  • Assure compliance with directed donations and grants for programs and services
  • Assure use and maintenance of donor and Customer Relationship Management database
  • Identify grants and funding opportunities for existing and potential programs and services
  • Interface with Board and Community Committees as requested by the Executive Director
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director


EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent experience in non-profit management

EXPERIENCE: Three years of managerial experience preferred; Public relations and marketing experience preferred; Experience with successful fundraising; Experience with new program development
