Job Summary
Calvary Young Children’s School in the Green Hills area of Nashville is seeking an Assistant Director who is passionate about working with young children. CYCS is a DHS licensed, Three Star Quality preschool program that serves children 6 weeks to five years. We provide a safe, nurturing Christian environment for our children, families, and staff.
The Assistant Director is responsible for assisting the Program Director in ensuring the health , safety and quality of education for all children in the center's care. Under the direction of the Program Director, the Assistant Director collaborates with the staff to ensure that classroom activities are properly delivered, and that the needs of the students and the goals of the center are met appropriately. ren 6 weeks to five years. We provide a safe, nurturing Christian environment for our children, families, and staff.
Job Responsibilities
- Assume duties of Program Director as needed
- Maintain compliance with state licensing standards and Health Department regulations
- Maintain proper staff/child ratios
- Follow center policies
- Process enrollment paperwork for new and existing families
- Meet with and welcome new families. Maintain professional and supportive relationships with families
- Maximize client retention through effective customer relationship management
- Assist with budget management and operate within budget parameters
- Assist in the hiring and retention of staff, orientation, training and evaluation
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in early childhood or related field
- Minumum 5 years experience leading and managing staff
- Experience using Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Outlook
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Knowledge or experience with childcare licensing,
