Job Summary

The Advantage CS System Specialist role will work directly with the Advantage CS system for daily operation and all other system related issues involved with this specialized subscription management system. This position will control and manage the use of the ACS Software across the whole of The Upper Room. This includes making sure software updates and releases are completed in a timely manner. Issues that arise with the software need to be diagnosed and handled quickly and appropriately. This role will also make sure the end users are trained appropriately on the system and its uses.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Provide ACS maintenance and support for The Upper Room personnel and the information necessary to provide efficient and quality service, including the reporting of any software bugs and identifying the level of urgency and priority of each. Any problems reported to ACS should be as well defined as possible and should include any information available that will enable ACS to replicate the problem.
  • Maintain general knowledge and expertise of ACS software functionality and configuration as an internal resource for The Upper Room. This role requires solid experience with ACS software.
  • Oversee/coordinate/generate all ACS reports for The Upper Room staff, as needed.
  • Monitor system processing and provide first line support for any issues that are encountered. Communicate with The Upper Room’s users to identify software issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse executive team and external product experts.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in systems administration, computer science, computer engineering, software management, etc.

Proven experience with the Advantage CS software is required. 

Experience working with executive leadership to manage technology and end-user expectations.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse executive team and external product experts.

Developing leadership and management skills.

Experience designing technical solutions and documenting technical specifications.
