Job Summary

Davis House Child Advocacy Center is entering a growth stage, and the Advancement Associate will play a critical role in our future. By taking the lead on the many necessary administrative tasks for our fundraising operations, the Advancement Associate gives the Director of Advancement and Executive Director more time to meet with donors, build relationships, solicit funding, and grow revenues to advance our mission.

The Advancement Associate should have a donor-first attitude and have experience in a high-volume, often-times ambiguous work environment. Basic accounting and computer acumen is vital. Strong organizational skills and comfortable relational abilities also matter. 

 The successful applicant must have reliable transportation to and from work and must be able to pass a deep background check, fashioned to exclude predatory criminal actors.

Job Responsibilities

The Advancement Associate will:

  • Coordinate Davis House’s social media outreach (design, implementation, execution)
  • Serve as project lead on online giving campaigns such as Giving Tuesday, The Big Payback, etc.
  • Serve as office liaison on all external events: registration and ticketing, PNL reporting, logistics, and soliciting and packaging high-quality auction items for fundraising initiatives
  • Coordinate with accounting department on accounts payable to various vendors
  • Manage day-to-day donation data entry into CRM database (Salesforce) and corresponding acknowledgement letters as well as end of year tax acknowledgement
  • Ensure records are continually complete and accurate in donor database and accounting system
  • General office management and support (ordering supplies, organization, etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned by the leadership team

Qualifications

Educational and Professional Requirements:  B.S. degree or equivalent professional experience required

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to learn new tools, software, and systems
  • Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Strong writing and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional work ethic and professionalism
  • Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills
  • Comfortable engaging with individual donors and sponsors

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with CRM/databases (such as Salesforce, QuickBooks, etc.) is a major plus
  • Experience with simple grant writing, reporting, and/or prospect research
  • Experience in sales/fundraising, or as executive assistant or office manager a plus

Davis House will consider part-time (25) hours for this Advancement Associate position. Compensation will be $18/hour. The position is not remote and will be expected to work from the Davis House Franklin offices. Davis House requires all staff to be vaccinated for COVID-19.
